AWAITING PALMETTO VOCAL PROJECT's BHS CHARTER
Submitted by Bob Burns on Mon, 03/26/2012 - 8:19am
The Licensing of the first new chapter in the Carolinas District took place on Saturday, September 17th following a meeting and rehearsal of the Palmetto Vocal Project. The goal of the founding members is to achieve a charter by the first of 2012 and be off and running! Their mission, simply put, is to create a chapter based upon excellence, and it is abundantly clear they have the skills and talent already on board – both musically and dministratively – to make that a reasonable objective.
The chapter is patiently awaiting its Charter from the Barbershop Harmony Society. The wait, however, is not stopping them from presenting their first show: Join Palmetto Vocal Project in their debut concert featuring the finest a cappella artists from across the Lowcountry. From classical, gospel and barbershop to contemporary and doo-wop, you're sure to hear songs you know and love.
Visit their website www.palmettovocalproject.com for more information and to order tickets ($15 in advance, $20 at the door).
