We’re pleased to announce the Carolinas Virtual Barbershop Festival, to be held online on Saturday, November 14. The program will feature:
- Quartet and Chorus video contests, with the winners determined by live audience vote.
- The contests will be open to non-BHS groups, including Sweet Adelines and youth groups
- Cash prizes will be award for both ‘Barbershop’ (BHS, Sweet Adelines) and non-Barbershop groups such as school choirs and quartets or other community choirs.
- Special recognition for oldest groups and youngest student groups
- A celebration of our first 10 years as a District
- A look forward to the next 10 years
- Sing-alongs throughout the event
- Live District Trivia contest
- The District virtual chorus performance
- District Awards
The contests mentioned above are not for a traditional District chorus or quartet championship but come with significant bragging rights (did we mention the cash prizes). Please click here for more information on the contests.
