Wordplay Wins District Quartet Championship, Quadrophonic Wins Mixed Quartet Championship, Carolina Statesmen Qualify for 2020 Midwinter
Wordplay (Matt Gorman, Jay Lusk, Ryan Wilson, Scot Gregg) won the Carolinas District quartet championship Saturday, November 9th in Charleston. They earned an average score of 76.6. Liftoff finished second and Anecdote came in third. In the Mixed Quartet contest, Quadrophonic (Melissa Martin, Lacey Knapp, Kenneth Tice, Bill Adams) scored as average score of 74.0. 7th Dimension finished second and Different Frequencies came in third. The Carolinas District Fall Festival 2019 in North Charleston, SC, November 8-10, 2019, is now open for registration. Barbershop Revival is a Success for Students!
The inaugural Barbershop Revival took place on the NC Central campus on March 22-23 and was a great success for the student participants. The NCCU students enjoyed working under our clinicians, Bill Adams and Debbie Cleveland. Watching the excitement and rapid improvement of these very talented students was a thrill.
