The Carolinas District Fall Festival 2016 in Asheville, NC, November 10-13, 2016, is now a fond memory.
We were blessed with Fall color, great weather, and the sights, sounds and flavors of Asheville. Our diners and accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Resort were superb. But what makes the Festivals so special is our time together to enjoy our craft and each others company.
It takes a bunch of effort to pull off an event this big. My thanks go to those who made it all possible, specifically to Larry Reinhart, for a superb Quartet Contest, Mark Stock for coordinating the coaching and classes and assisting with the Collegiate Challenge, Bob Johns for putting together our wildly successful Collegiate Challenge, Steve Tremper for organizing and emceeing the Saturday Night Showcase, Ted Leinbach for sorting out all the finances, Bev Greene for a superb Arts District Tour, Bob Burns and the Asheville Chapter for hosting, Randy Johnston for providing the sound, Gary Thorn for handling registrations, Larry Hill for all the awesome videos of contestants and performers and Ken Thomas for the formal and candid photos.
